Why It’s Important to Use a CQC-Registered Event Medical Company
When it comes to event medicine, the quality and reliability of your medical team is paramount. A CQC registration helps to ensure that the service you receive meets the highest industry standards of care, compliance, and safety. We must make it clear that its not a requirement to use a CQC regulated company for on site medical services, but it is a requirement that you do all of your due diligence to ensure your chosen provider is safe.
Ambulance conveyance is a regulated service and must be provided by a regulated company.
1. Regulated and Safe Standards of Care
- Our CQC registration means we have been thoroughly assessed and approved by the Care Quality Commission, which is the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
- Our registration ensures that we adhere to strict regulations and operational standards, guaranteeing that our practices are consistently safe, effective, and of a high quality.
- This oversight ensures that all aspects of care, from basic first aid to more advanced medical interventions, are delivered in line with national standards.
2. DBS Compliance
- Our team are Enhanced DBS Checked, this means they undergo rigorous background checks to ensure they are safe to work with vulnerable individuals, including minors and those with specific health needs. Enhanced DBS checks go a step further, screening for any criminal convictions or cautions that could indicate a risk to patient safety. This gives you peace of mind knowing that your medical team is composed of trustworthy, qualified professionals.
3. Medication Management
- Safe Medication Practices: We have robust systems in place for managing and administering medication, including strict protocols for storage, handling, and record-keeping.
- Minimising Risk: This reduces the risk of medication errors, mismanagement, or misuse, which could otherwise pose serious risks to the health of attendees.
4. Reassurance that everything is as it should be
- Using a CQC-registered event medical company like us not only ensures the competence of staff but also the safety of all operational processes involved in event healthcare. This includes all kits, equipment and emergency protocols.
- The CQC conducts inspections and audits of our services to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards. This gives you reassurance that we’ve been independently verified to be operating safely and effectively. This means less due diligence for you!
- In the rare event that something goes wrong, the CQC can investigate and judge the incident or complaint. This ensures that any concerns are dealt with properly, and your event is protected from poor-quality services.
5. Peace of mind for you and your attendees
- Knowing that we’re CQC regulated should offer you total confidence in our ability to handle any situation.
- Whether you’re hosting a small event or a large-scale public gathering, you can be sure that we’ll be prepared, well-trained, and operating within the highest standards.
6. Ambulance Conveyance
- While event medicine is NOT regulated by the CQC, you’re free to choose a non CQC regulated service; provided you’ve done your due diligence.
- Ambulance conveyance IS regulated. Ambulance conveyance is when a patient is taken from your site, in any situation, emergency or not, to a hospital or other place of definitive care. Its illegal to provide conveyance services without a CQC registration. You could be breaking the law if you enlist or assist a non CQC registered provider to provide CQC regulated services.
